To Pastiche or Not, That is the Question:

Then, read this sentence from The Count of Monte Cristo: 
"During those hours of mediation which flowed by like seconds, he formed a terrible resolution and swore a fearful oath" (58).
Use different words to imitate Dumas' style and post them below. Here is an example:
"During the school day which dragged by like a snail, she decided to drop out and join the circus."
